MY ROLE AND WHAT I DO...

I work within the umbrella of the Design School, primarily with the final year-3 students studying towards a Bachelor of Design – Fashion.

My role as a Teaching & Research Assistant means I am predominantly in the studio, hands-on with the students 4 days a week. I work closely with the Year 3 Teaching Team and specifically with our Academic Leader for Fashion.

I also assist on two interdisciplinary papers which comprises of the entire cohort of Year 3 students from across the four disciplines of the Design School – Fashion, Communication, Product and Interiors.

I am also involved with the learning of at least one Graduate Diploma student for the second semester of every year.

A couple of times when being introduced to a students' parents I am referred to as "OP's version of Tim Gunn", (from Project Runway) and going by my  fantastic student feedback I'm taking this as a compliment!
